League Breakdown
1st/2nd Grades: Clinic style instruction meets once a week (Saturday morning) December-February
3rd/4th Grades: 1 practice a week (starting in November) with 1 game a week (starting in December).
Games are usually on Saturdays but could be Friday, Saturday or Sunday depending upon number of teams.
5th-8th Grades (Broken up into 2 levels, either 5th & 6th-8th or 5th/6th & 7th-8th):
1 practice a week (starting in November) with 1 game a week (starting in December).
Games are usually on Sundays but could be Friday or Sunday depending upon number of teams.
Evaluation for grades 3-8 will be held in Early November.
*All games and practices are at WCASD locations.

Player of the Week (3rd-4th)
Player of the Week: Mila
Team: Minions Congratulations Mila on being Minions player of the week! Mila played a fantastic all round game this weekend and has been a key contributor to the team all year. Mila's ball handling and defense significantly improved this season and it was on display for our final game, Great job Mila!! Thank you Minions for a great season!! Players of the Week: Charlotte, Helena & Abby
Team: Dolphins These 3 worked hard against some tough competition in one of the Dolphins best game of the season! Charlotte is small but mighty on the court. She plays twice her size and isn't afraid to get after it no matter who the opponent is. Helena has gained so much confidence this season. Whether she's driving to the basket or setting screens to get her teammates open, she doesn't shy away from the action. Abby has been a leader for the Dolphins all season. Whether she's tasked with running our offense, setting up out of bounds plays or guarding the other team's best player, Abby doesn't back down. Great job girls! Player of the Week: Katie
Team: Wildcats Katie displayed exceptional ball handling skills and moved the ball up quickly to get her teammates involved early. She played aggressive defense with getting a few steals. Katie’s dedication and hard work paid off as she scored several impressive baskets. Katie’s passion for the sport shone brightly and she is an all-around team player. Great job Katie! |
Players of the Week: Ella & Lexi
Team: Reputation Ella and Lexi are the players of the week for their team. They both had a great game this week. Ella and Lexi played great defense and made some great passes to their team. They are great team players. Great season girls! Players of the Week: Brooklyn & Sophia
Team: Red Devils Brooklyn has helped her team this year by playing well on both ends of the floor. She is quick and has developed some key skills. We could count on her to get big rebounds and match up with the best players in the league. Brooklyn could also handle the ball against pressure and make great passes. Sophia has worked hard all season and ended the year with the winning basket against a tough opponent. She is a great passer and would come up with key loose balls throughout the game. Her awareness of the court helped her team be successful throughout the season. Way to go girls! Players of the Week: Julie & Addy
Team: Dolphins Julie had one of her best games of the season staying calm under pressure, making great passes and getting great looks at the basket. Addy consistently finds ways to get open & great shots while also contributing with rebounds & solid defensive play. Against a tough opponent both girls played hard and never backed down! Great job girls! |
Player of the Week: Oliva
Team: Blue Bandits Olivia has been working hard all season for the Blue Bandits. She had a great final game. She played great on both sides of the court but had some key stops on the defensive side. Thanks for playing so hard all season long! Players of the Week: Kennedy & Emma
Team: Arctic Foxes This week the Arctic Foxes players of the week are Kennedy & Emma! Kennedy has been a defensive powerhouse in every game! She is one of our top rebounders which lead to many opportunities to shoot and score! Emma was phenomenal on offense in every game. She has a special ability to push through the defense and get the ball to the basket to shoot or get a great pass to a teammate. Fantastic job girls!!! Players of the Week: Quinn & Evie
Team: Thunder Quinn and Evie come to every practice and game ready to play with smiles on their faces! This week Quinn played aggressively on both offense and defense, grabbing rebounds and hustling to get possession of the ball for her team. Evie also gave it her all this week and even stepped out of her comfort zone moving from under the boards to bring up the ball as point guard. Great game girls! |

Team: Blue The GOATS had a very successful season! Not only did we all have a lot of fun coaches included we also learned a lot. Best of luck to these young ladies in all their future sports endeavors! |

Team: Blue Beasts The Blue Beasts had two great games to end our season. Both wins were total team wins. Everyone played great defense and hustled the whole game. Are offensive plays came together with a lot of shots and great passing. Great work girls! |
Player of the Week (6th-8th)
Player of the Week: Marcy
Team: Pink Ladies Marcy gives 100% every time she steps on the court. This week was no exception. She in the ultimate team player and manages to get herself involved in everything from rebounding to shooting to guarding the tallest kid on court and more. She never backs down and is willing to do anything her coaches ask of her while constantly cheering on her teammates along the way! Great work Marcy! Player of the Week: Madison
Team: Icy Hot Madison is the player of the week for Team Icy Hot. Madison has done a great job for Team Icy Hot this season. Madison excelled in all aspects of the game this season, was a fierce competitor and left it all on the court each game. Great job Madison!! |
Player of the Week: Teagan
Team: Orange Teagan’s play on both ends of the court helped lead her team to a hard fought victory. She attacked the basket repeatedly, coming up with great finishes or drawing fouls from the other team. On defense she continued to be a leader, guarding the opponent’s primary ball-handler while also regularly sliding over with help defense to generate turnovers. Thanks for the great game Teagan! Player of the Week: Sydney

Player of the Week: Mackenzie
Team: Icy Hot Mackenzie is the player of the week for Team Icy Hot! Mackenzie has progressed all season long on both sides of the ball. Mack has played some really tough defense, was a presence on the boards, and started to come into her own on offense in the second half of the season. Great Job Mack!! Player of the Week: Lena
Team: Minions Lena was Player of the Week in the season finale for the Minions. As she always does, Lena brought strong defensive intensity to the game. She had several rebounds and got several loose balls. She scored a basket on offense and closed out the season with a very strong game overall. Great job, Lena. |
